Are you a member of the LGBTQ community who is not welcome or does not feel welcome in your family home for the holiday? Would you like to join us for safeXmas in Provo, Utah from December 24 to 26?

WE ARE YOUR PEOPLE.

If you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community who would like to be part of a big, weird, family Christmas that will be nothing like any family holiday you’ve ever experienced, we want you!

This year’s theme is Dungeons and Dragons. We’ll have multiple D&D games going on. You can either create a character ahead of time, or use one of many characters that have been predetermined by our queer dungeon masters. Play for a couple of hours in a one-shot, or play 24/7 like the hardcore nerd you are.

If you’re not into D&D, we’ll have other games, puzzles, general shenanigans, and more. The swimming pool and hot tub are open 24/7, and we will even have private hours, just for our party! Feel free to wear whatever bathing suit makes you feel good!

Meals and snacks are provided, whether or not you plan to stay the night, and we will even have fun and/or questionable gifts to take home.

Parents of queer kids are more than welcome to attend with their kids! Please register each person separately so we can get an accurate headcount.

COVID-19 Precautions: All attendees must be vaccinated (proof required) or plan to be masked and practice social distancing while indoors. The hotel will only clean rooms after we leave, to cut down on exposure (and because who wants to work on the holiday?). All food safety precautions will be taken. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available for everyone that attends. We will also have coded bracelets that help attendees to express their wishes about social distancing and physical contact.

We’ll be at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites, Orem-North Provo  starting on December 24 at 3pm and leaving on December 26 at 10am. We provide gifts, games, food, and shenanigans for everyone who attends, whether or not they spend the night. We are committed to an atmosphere of inclusion and safety and will do everything we can to make sure you feel loved and wanted.

Accommodations, food, and gifts are covered by donors and allies. We plan for two to four people to a room. If you need help with travel, please contact us and we will do our best to help you with travel arrangements.

NOTE: safeXmas is a drug and alcohol free event. If you are found to be in possession of illicit drugs or alcohol, you will be removed. Additionally, if you supply drugs or alcohol to minors, the police will be notified.
