Queer Artisans

Below is a list of queer artisans that have agreed to create gifts to give away at safeXmas. Your purchases go to support the artisan and provide a gift for a guest at safeXmas. Please work with the artist directly for your safeXmas purchases and while you’re at it—pick up something for yourself or a loved one!

You do not have to buy 50 of all items. Not every chooses to take home a gift, so we mail out packages to folks who cannot attend. We’ll find loving homes for whatever is purchased for safeXmas.

“Functional fixedness is the inability to realize that something known to have a particular use may also be used to perform other functions.” – Britannica.com

I’ve been creating art out of whatever trash I could find since I was a little kid. One of my favorite things to do is to break the “functional fixedness” portion of my brain and utilize my creativity to craft something new out of something that would have been thrown away otherwise. I work to source as many of my materials as possible from thrift stores and creative reuse facilities in an attempt to disrupt the waste cycle.
